We Are People on a Journey

Truly, my life here on earth is temporary, I am on a journey to my home ie. heaven to be with my Heavenly Father, my Brother, Lord Jesus and reunite with my earthly parents.

The possessions I strive to own will be of no use to me. Therefore the Bible says ‘lay your treasures in heaven’ is true to me. I’ve come to realise this during the pandemic.

Shoes disintegrate, handbags turned mouldy.

I am a pilgrim in progress taking up the cross not from life to death on earth but moving on from death to life in the Lord’s glory.

The sufferings I go through in the valleys here, are to mould me and mend me (the broken vessel). Father God is doing an artwork of kintsugi on me for His glory. – An.

Kintsugi . . . is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. . . . As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.” – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintsugi

  1. As I listened to the participants’ sharing last night, I’m reminded of the faithfulness of God and the beauty of being in a community. Their reflections conveyed God’s truth and character to me.

  2. Indeed the session has encouraged me to a timely conviction of my walk with the Lord to be taken more seriously and awareness of my need to see the Holy Spirit’s guidance in my life.
