Yesterday felt like a new beginning, 1 Jun 2022, Wed. After days of not being able to sleep, my body finally caved in last night. I was up at 4am, hungry. I freshened up and took out from the fridge the fried rice I bought yesterday from a Chinese café. The portion was huge. It could last me for five meals.

I observed the sunrise from my window, and gave thanks to God for watching over me, for the smooth travel, the large Kroger nearby, the hotel shuttle service without which I wouldn’t have managed to lug back two gallons of water and fruits to sustain me the first few days of settling down.
I give thanks for companions who kept me in prayer, for their encouragement and support, without which, the journey would have been much more difficult. I give thanks for my family, for their love and grace toward me, giving me the space to follow what I thought was my heart’s desire, but over time, it seems that a greater Being was behind all that has led me here thus far.
