Sweet Spot?

I seem to be in the wilderness for almost four years, traversing through different kinds of wilderness of different durations.

While several people around me seem to be enjoying their sweet spots in ministry, the past decades of such sweet spot seemed to have vanished at a snap of the fingers four years ago.

I am now in a ‘neutral’ spot that feels somewhat dry, empty, non-satisfying and unfulfilling. But I rest in the hope that the LORD is doing His work in me during this neutralising period to reshape me for some purpose that He alone knows.

May God have compassion on me His servant.
May He relent and end this period soon.
Even if it is not so, may God alone be my satisfaction,
satisfying me in the morning with His unfailing love
that I may continue to sing for joy and be glad all my days,
come what may,
even in the wilderness.

Psalm 90:12-14
Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Relent, LORD! How long will it be?
Have compassion on your servants.
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
that we my sing for joy and be glad all our days.
